SYTYMG

(So You Think You Miss Guam)
I thought I would serve up a little reality check . . . .

• Gas went up .18 cents. Overnight. On base!

• It's the rainy season.

And the lightening season.

And of course the thunder season.

• We got cold . . . . . OUTSIDE!

• So many millipedes . . . .Everywhere!

• Still no guaranteed ice cream at McDonald's.
• Still coping with cliques!

• The new BX opened up at Anderson. We haven't seen it.
a) I don't want to pack a lunch for the drive up there.
b) Why drive up there if nothing will be in stock. (come on - you KNOW I'm speaking the truth)

• We were up close and personal with the dolphins over the weekend. The babies put on a jumping/spinning show for us while we watched from the comfort of the new tube/jet ski.

I still miss it! However, I do not miss the humidity, the hospital pharmacy, the rainy season, and the lack of good bananas at the commissary....But I can never replace the friends I made there....There is a Guam bond that I have never seen before on a Navy base....And that is what made Guam all worth it for me! I would move back there in a second, unfortunately, Braxtons health issues will forever ban us from an oversea base. Oh well! Thankfully San Diego is a big Navy base, so I hope to some of you guys again!

Oh my goodness. Every time we go to McD's Ben is hoping for a milkshake. Still hasn't happened!

Right now we have like 20 things to take up with housing!

Oh Guam, what are you gonna do?

I have quickly forgotten the OOG moments and miss Guam EVERYDAY! Especially now that it is cold and wet in VA. I will never forget the day we went to the Taco Bell right outside the Big Navy gate and they were out of taco shells. LOL! Those were the days!
