After a delicious dinner of grilled veggie sandwiches, we decided to fit in a quick dip at Gab Gab as the sun went down.
It was picturesque. Swimming in the Philippine sea - high tide - watching the beautiful sunset over the Pacific.
As the darkness was setting in the jungle termites decided to come out!
As soon as our bodies ascended from the water the termites were on us. We ran to the safety of the Durango swatting our bodies the whole way.
The jungle termites are drawn to any and all light sources. The summer Mandy was with us - they swarmed her reflective blond hair.
We knew from years past - leave the termites OUTSIDE! So after a shimmy and shake (to rid your clothes and hair of the buggers) you try and sneak in through the door with as little opening as possible.
So how do you prep yourself for the sight of this upon entering what you thought was the safety of our own house!
Jungle Termites EVERYWHERE - coming up under the baseboards!
It was a long night for exterminator mom. I would clear them using bug spray and good old Dyson (by myself!) just to have them back by the thousands moments later.
I'm not ready for round 2 tonight.
Prayers are requested.

OK. enough! I can't believe what all you have had to endure! I have these little moths, I think they come from the plant in the living room. I can't stand them flying around. I got so I can catch them out of the air if I concentrate. How you cope with all those "termites" is beyond me. How long do they last? Do you vacuum them up? I hope they don't bite.
Ugh, you poor thing!! We had termites in Norfolk ( of course while Ben was deployed!) and it was awful! I was constantly vacuming and sweeping them up. They gave me the creepie crawlies. Luckily we haven't had any problems with them here!
Yep me and Madi were there, right in the middle of that, screaming our heads off! LOL
The worst part of this . . . we have played this game with housing for way too long!
We just had both bathrooms replaced a few months ago caused by their maggot looking cousinbuggers!
Some days I'm just DONE!!!
Oh my GOSH!!! Good luck with that. I didn't even know that there was a beach termite. Hopefully we'll make it another year without seeing them!!
NO WAY!!! I do not know how you do it. I am so impressed with how well you deal with everything!
Logyn says....That's TONS, I just thought it was dirty carpet.
My sympathies... This is not the 'paradise of Guam'. What's Dave's role in all of this???!!!???
