In addition to making a perfect foreground for nightly sunsets
It serves as a great biking trail, WWII exploration, running track, and evening doggy walk.
It's also used as an active helo pad for this end of the island.

We've grown accustomed to hearing the helicopters come and go - but yesterday's EOD exercise was exceptionally interesting.
To watch these guys come and go was fascinating!
Kind of makes parasailing pale in comparison, doesn't it.

We saw these Helos as we were driving down Marine Corps to Carmens for some dinner.
Um- what does EOD mean? Not everyone in the world understands your MS. And BTW, Happy TD- hope YAHAFT!

Explosive Ordinance Disposal....a scary job in the Navy. I used to love watching these guys do their training from our old house. I have to say- you captured some great pictures- but nothing beats watching them in person. It's amazing.
